Holding block in ds3 helps with spacing because it disables pivots, hitting with the shield is right hand is the part of the gameplay with paired doors for example or just if you want to beat the game with shield. Fixing the paired door problem would be pretty easy. Left hand weapon block still seems useless.

Ridiculously good, and not just 'cause of the running/jumping L1s. Rapiers are slept on, powerstanced they're pretty impressive. Whips are neat! And of course, straight swords are pretty good too. And spears. Twinblades are good too. Honestly it's easier to list ones that aren't worth powerstancing. Like, hammers, and axes.
